Arsenal considering loaning out Ozil in January

The club are eager to loan out Mesut Ozil because he simply isn’t paying off, . The outlet claims the Gunners are prepared to subsidise the German’s wages because even so the club would be saving money, considering how much it is currently paying for a player that has barely been seen on the pitch this season.

At £350,000 a week, the 30-year-old is the highest paid player at Arsenal, quite a lot when you consider that under Emery the midfielder has practically been invisible in the 2019/2020 season. He participated in only two of the club’s matches so far, once in the 2-2 draw against Watford in the Premier League and then in the 5-0 win against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup.

Ozil has been at Arsenal since the autumn of 2013 and has two more years of his c…

Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte has confirmed goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois will be fit to face Tottenham in Saturday s FA Cup semi-final after recovering from an ankle injury.

Everton owner Moshiri insists he has no desire to sell amid takeover talk

Farhad Moshiri has insisted Everton are not for sale, amid reports that several parties are interested in taking over the Premier League club.

Everton finished 16th last season, their lowest Premier League placing since the 2003-04 campaign, when they came 17th.

Frank Lampard – appointed midway through the season after Rafael Benitez was sacked – managed to secure safety with a game to spare, thanks to a 3-2 comeback win over Crystal Palace at Goodison Park.

However, Everton s reckless spending during the Moshiri era, which began in 2016 and has seen six permanent managers lose their jobs prior to Lampard taking charge, means they were on the brink of breaching the Premier League s profit and sustainability rules.

As such, a large sale was required a…

Real Madrid 2-0 FC Barcelona: Vinicius, Mariano Score As Los Merengues Win El Clasico

Real Madrid knew they hadn’t defeated FC Barcelona at Santiago Bernabeu since 2014, and they ended that negative run with a strong performance, particularly in the second half. Los Merengues stole a 2-0 win and that result pushed them to the top of the Liga standings.

Vinicius Junior scored in the 71st minute and Mariano added the second goal on stoppage time. That would be enough to lift Real Madrid to the top of the standings while ending a two-game winless streak. Meanwhile, this result also ended Barcelona’s four-game winning run.

Courtois put up a show during a scoreless first half

The first half got off to a slow start in the first 20 minutes, where neither side was able to create clear-cut chances and the biggest news were two yellow cards given to Alba and …

Bayern didn´t attack enough – Lewandowski ´angry´ after Champions League exit

Robert Lewandowski felt Bayern Munich did not try to attack enough as the German giants were knocked out of the Champions League by Liverpool.

After a goalless draw at Anfield in February, Bundesliga champions Bayern crashed out on home soil following a 3-1 second-leg defeat to last season s runners-up Liverpool on Wednesday.

A Joel Matip own goal six minutes before half-time put Bayern back on level terms following Sadio Mane s 26th-minute opener at Allianz Arena.

However, Bayern succumbed to Mane s second goal after Virgil van Dijk s towering header as the Bavarians bowed out in the last 16 their earliest exit since the 2010-11 season much to the frustration of Lewandowski.

Spain s female referees have carried out strike action on the opening weekend of the Primera Division season, causing the postponement of fixtures.

Barcelona still want Reinier

According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are still very much interested in the potential signing of Brazilian sensation Reinier. However, they aren’t willing to pay the £60 million fee that is being demanded of them by Flamengo, who are well aware of the fact that they have their own star on their hands.

Barca look set to have a busy few transfer windows as they attempt to build their squad up to contend in the Champions League once again, and it seems as if they’ve got all sorts of targets. The competition for places in their starting XI is already pretty fierce, but they aren’t afraid to add fuel to the fire.

Many believe that if Reinier did wind up signing then there’s a very good chance he could be shipped back off on loan for a seas…

Rangers 2 Celtic 0: Tavernier & Arfield settle Old Firm derby

Goals from James Tavernier and Scott Arfield were enough for Rangers to triumph 2-0 in a typically frenetic Old Firm derby against Celtic at Ibrox.

Gers boss Steven Gerrard had questioned the quality in the Scottish Premiership in the build up to Sunday s clash, but he will have few complaints about the performance of his side against their Glasgow rivals.

Tavernier s wicked cross-shot from a second-minute free-kick set the tone for a fine showing against a Celtic side that celebrated an eighth straight title by beating Aberdeen last time out.

And Arfield finished a well-worked move just after the hour as Rangers chalked up back-to-back home wins over Celtic for the first time since the 2011-12 season.

Inzaghi targets 10 points for Champions League progression as Inter goalkeeper decision looms

Simone Inzaghi is aware of the importance of Inter s upcoming trip to Viktoria Plzen as he targets 10 points to stand a chance of progressing from a difficult Champions League group.

Having been drawn alongside two European heavyweights in Barcelona and Bayern Munich, Inter know taking maximum points against the Czech champions will be key to their hopes.

Inter suffered a chastening 2-0 defeat to Bayern on matchday one, but they have only lost their opening two games in one previous Champions League campaign, doing so in 2006-07 under Roberto Mancini.

Inzaghi emphasised the significance of bouncing back from that disappointment on Tuesday as he labelled Group C the toughest in the competition.

Undoubtedly, it is an important match; we know we ha…
